Meet Lucy Kelly
"My original background is in Biochemistry and although I love the science of food and nutrition, I realised that working in a laboratory was not for me! I am also a cook and have worked on boats and chalets.
I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist from The Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2004 and then worked for a number of years in the UK in clinical practice, alongside doctors and as a tutor at ION.
I took a break to look after my children and have recently completed additional studies and started back in practice.
As a busy mum I understand the life juggling demands and my ultimate aim when working with clients it to give a very simple, yet effective nutritional programme that is not going to add to the overwhelm and list of things to do! I like to talk about adding foods in rather than cutting lots of foods out and during a consultation there will often be conversations around why, how, when and where we eat, as these factors are so important for digestion, immunity, mood and hormonal balance.
I don’t have a specific area of speciality but I particularly enjoy helping parents understand their children’s nutrition and how to encourage good dietary habits for the whole family."
